How it works
How a case moves, from your first call to the last page
Most consumer cases end without a trial. Here’s the usual path, and where you come in.
- 01
Step 1: You tell me what happened
A free half hour by phone, by video or at the office. Bring whatever you have: contracts, repair orders, letters, screenshots of your call log.
- 02
Step 2: I tell you straight
Whether you have a case, what it could be worth, what it could cost and how long these tend to take. If it isn’t worth your time, I’ll say so.
- 03
Step 3: We sign one agreement
It says who pays my fee, what happens with court costs, and that you can stop at any time. Nothing starts until you sign.
- 04
Step 4: I make the company answer
A demand letter first, with the facts and the law attached. Many companies settle here, because the bill for ignoring it keeps growing.
- 05
Step 5: If they won’t, we file
A lawsuit, or arbitration if your contract calls for it. I handle the filings and hearings, and I call you before every decision that’s yours to make.
Bring these
What to dig out before the consult
Don’t worry if you’re missing some. Part of my job is getting the rest from the company.
Anything you signed
The sales contract, the finance agreement, the warranty booklet, and any page about arbitration.
Repair orders
Every visit to the shop, with dates and mileage. The dealer has to give you copies if you ask.
Letters and court papers
Collection letters with their envelopes, and anything with a court’s name on it.
Your call log
Screenshots of the calls and texts, and a note of when you told them to stop.
Ready when you are, Saturday mornings included
Book the free consult by phone or video on a weekday, or in person on a Saturday morning.
