Yamilet Varona
Consumer attorney
I grew up in Little Havana, translating car contracts and phone bills for my grandparents at the kitchen table. I still read the fine print for a living. Now I get to do something about it.
Before law school I worked the finance desk at a car dealership. I was good at the paperwork and bad at keeping quiet about it, and I learned exactly where the expensive lines in a contract hide.
I opened this practice on Calle Ocho to sit on the buyer’s side of that desk. I take lemon law, debt collector and robocall cases and nothing else, and every case is mine from the first call to the last signature.
Outside the office I coach a girls’ softball team and give a free talk at the neighborhood library on reading a car contract before you sign it.
What I take on
- Lemon law
- Debt collector defense and claims
- Robocall and text cases

How I run it
Three habits of a one-lawyer practice
You deal with me
No case managers, no call center. The lawyer you meet is the one who calls you back.
Saturday mornings, on purpose
Most people can’t leave work to see a lawyer. So the office opens on Saturdays from 9 to 1.
Honest about small cases
If a case isn’t worth the time it takes, I’ll tell you at the consult, and point you to what might help instead.
Bring me the papers they hoped you’d never read
Contracts, letters, repair orders, call logs. The first consult is free, in English or Spanish.
